BON SCOTT STATUE FOR KIRRIEMUIR '14
DD8 Music plan to erect
a bronze life size memorial statue of AC/DC singer Bon Scott in his childhood home Kirriemuir.DD8 Music is a completely voluntary community
group, dedicated to promoting involvement in musical
activities to people of all ages in the local area of Kirriemuir and
surround.
At
first DD8 Music plans to errect the Bon Scott statue at the Bon Fest
2013, but the time is to short and the town square where the statue
will go get modernised in 2013. So they dicide to wait till Bon Fest
2014 to unveil the statue.
As an voluntary group, DD8 Music had not the money for a Bon Scott Statue and they need funds from all AC/DC Fans in the World.

Fans at the Intertnational Fanmeeting 2012 where the first Fans who
spend money for the statue and a donation Page is in work and comming
soon.

R.I.P. DONALD 'Duck' DUNN
One of the best friends of AC/DC singer Brian Johnson died last Sunday in Tokyo. Donald was one of the best Bassplayers in Bluesrock. He plays with Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Muddy Waters, Rod Stewart and with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd in the Blues Brothers Band.

I LOST ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS SUNDAY LAST, DONALD DUCK DUNN PASSED AWAY
IN TOKYO, JAPAN AFTER DOING A WEEK OF SHOWS, I WAS WITH JUNE HIS WIFE
ABOUT 8 HRS AFTER WE HEARD. SHE IS NATURALLY DEVASTATED BY THE NEWS.
MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH THE DUNN’S FOR 18 YEARS AND WE’VE HAD MANY WONDERFUL TIMES TOGETHER.
DUCKS BARBECUES ARE LEGEND, HIS LAUGHTER THE MOST CONTAGIOUS, AND HIS
CUSSING WAS OF AN OLYMPIC STANDARD. I DON’T HAVE THE WORDS TO MEASURE
HIS LOSS HAS HAD ON ME. I JUST KNOW I’LL MISS HIM SO MUCH.

The release of the German AC/DC beer from the Karlsberg Brewery - Germany, start at the "AC/DC Fancamp 2012" in Leer - Ostfriesland - Germany.
The Fancamp 2012 starts on May 18th and end Sunday the 20th.

FERRARI DAY AT PHIL'S PLACE
Fast cars, loud music and helicopters.
It's all very rock'n' roll.
But despite the organiser's impressive aerial entrance, on the
Ferrari Car Display at Tauranga Bridge Marina was all about charity.
Organised by legendary AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd, the gold-coin event for
the Look Good Feel Better charity drew thousands of enthusiastic,
high-octane car fans, keen to see the huge collection of supercars.
MC for the event, Warwick Hall, said there were about 40 Ferraris on show, two of which belonged to Mr Rudd.

VINCE LOVEGROVE DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT
Australian music pioneer Vince Lovegrove has lost his life in a car accident near Byron Bay in New South Wales on Saturday.
Vince was born in 1948 in Fremantle, Western Australia. In the
1960’s he formed The Valentines and shared vocals with Bon Scott. Vince
stayed one of Bon’s closest friends until Bon’s death in 1980.

BRIAN JOHNSON AT TOP GEAR
Brian
Johnson was on Sunday Feb. 19. again at the BBC Show 'Top Gear'. He raced his 1929 4,5 litre Bentley against the Fisker, a new electric car, driven by James May.
Sadly, after a good start, the Bentley was left in the Fisker’s rear view mirrors.

MOVE FROM GLASGOW TO SEATLE
The AC/DC Family Jewels
Exhibition is until the 12th of February at
the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in
Glasgow / Scotland. After that, the Exhibition will be transported
to the USA this Spring. The exhibition will be showing at the EMP museum in
Seattle, Washington from April 28, 2012 to September 29, 2012.
